Files, Formats and Information

Gerber Data

ODB++ is preferred

Gerber RS-274X (preferred format), or Gerber RS-274D

Gerber RS-274X is the most commonly used Gerber file format. It embeds the aperture data into a header, so no separate aperture file is required.

Gerber RS-274D does not include aperture information, so a separate aperture (or D-code) file must be generated and sent with the Gerber layers.

NC Drill File + Drill Size List

Accepted in Excellon, Sieb & Meyer or Gerber format + Drill Size List either embedded in the NC drill file or as a separate text (ascii) file

Note : All holes will be treated as plated unless otherwise specified

Other Data Formats

We can also accept Barco DPF format.

Unfortunately, we can not accept CAD job files e.g. Protel, Cadstar, Pads etc

Profile Details

if not included within the Gerber files; we require the PCB profile detail. This can be supplied in Gerber, DXF, DWG, PDF, MSWord or Excel

Note: All drawings must include an X & Y dimension from one hole within the circuit data to the board edges in order to position the profile correctly. If this is not supplied, we will use the board outline supplied with the data for the profile.

Data Guidelines

please provide a separate Gerber file for each required layer (e.g. copper layers, solder resist layers, silkscreen layers, paste masks, peelable masks, etc.) We require an NC Drill file for each drilling operation (this applies mainly to designs with blind and buried via holes
